Flange insulation kit for even dissimilar metals joints in general applications
The flange insulation kit FIK 7 provides effective electrical insulation in flange couplings, even between dissimilar metals, in non-critical applications. It is a widely used solution to prevent galvanic corrosion and ensure protection of sealing elements.
The FIK 7 insulation kit is commonly used in low-pressure civil and industrial plants, non-aggressive fluid distribution lines, water and HVAC network, and basic cathodic protection systems.

Applications
Widely used to prevent corrosion of sealing elements in flanged joints for non-critical services at ambient temperature and low pressure. Commonly included in insulation kits, along with insulating washers, which can also be made from fiberglass-reinforced epoxy resin.
The kit includes:
| Insulating gasket (1 pc): | insulating gasket in phenolic resin coated with Neoprene (also available with EPDM rubber coating on both faces) |
| Isolating sleeve (1 per bolt): | G10/G11 epoxy resin or phenolic resin, depending on the service’s operating conditions |
| Isolating washers (2 per bolt): | G10/G11 epoxy resin or phenolic resin, depending on the service’s operating conditions |
| Protective washers (2 per bolt): | zinc-plated carbon steel or AISI 316 stainless steel, depending on the service’s operating conditions |
